483004, stored, Ryde St. John`s Road station Allegedly, 483004 in a serviceable condition! It is seen just to the north of Ryde St. Jonh's Road station on a very rusted piece of track indicating that it has not moved for some time. When the summer season starts about Easter time, I believe that The Island Line needs three sets of class 483s in service. So, maybe 004 will work again for one last season prior to the Vivarail class 484s taking over services, themselves re-built from D78 stock dating from the mid-1970s.
