This particular area of the former station at Northampton was

once packed with commuters being the entrance on to platform one through the two posts to the right. The space beyond where the stack of blocks are standing was once occupied by a Pumpkin café. Once the station structure has been removed over the coming months it is to be returned to platform use again with the area to the far left to be part of a taxi rank and turning circle.
