With the chronic over-crowding of King's Cross, there are discussions to re-open the disused tunnel that can be seen behind the DVT. It is currently used as access and as a route for much electrical cabling. The King's Cross power signal box partially blocks the portal so that issue will need consideration before any re-opening can take place.
