With the newest members of the class 143 Pacer thirty-three years old they have outlived the first generation DMUs that they replaced. They were designed by BR to be a temporary stopgap solution to improving local services but here they are in 2019 still at large! 143608 drifts into Cardiff Central, no doubt with its wheel flanges squealing, working the 10.34 Radyr to Coryton 2C17 service. In theory, just less than three months' in service for these much-maligned trains.
