40003 arrives at Toton yard from the south. It is

seen heading a PW train. After briefly pausing, it then continued off north up the Erwash Valley route. Two days later it was noted at Healey Mills. Introduced in September 1958 as D203, 40003 survived for another three years after this picture was taken when it donated a bogie to 40057.
