66739 'Bluebell Railway' leads the 08.07 Fort William to North Blyth Alcan train through Hartwood station. This train runs regularly from Alcan's smelter at Fort William to collect the main raw material used in the manufacturing of aluminum, alumina. This is imported into the UK at the North Blyth facility. The importing of alumina to and the export of finished aluminum from the huge Fort William factory is one of the factors that has kept the West Highland line open.
