Burntisland was another example of a well maintained station onthe Fife coastal route. 170393 arrives at the station with the 13.21 Glenrothes with Thornton to Edinburgh Waverley past one of the planters containing a Rhododendron in full bloom. When I last visited the station during my 1984 Scottish railrover, the station's main feature was the large BR (Sc) blue enamel running-in signs. |
