 As well as the open day at DRS Kingmoor there were also two steam-hauled railtours at Carlisle, thus there were many enthusiasts around the station. Whilst not many are seen crowding around 1933 Crewe built 4-6-2 locomotive, behind where I am standing there were plenty! 6201 'Princess Elizabeth' will soon lead the returning Cumbrian Mountain Express from Carlisle at 15.20 to Crewe. This tour took the WCML route south over Shap, something that these Staniers were designed to do and should handle with relative ease.
