A busy scene at Manchester Piccadilly station where I and

numerous other travellers were harangued for putting our feet 'over the yellow line'. Admittedly, the station was busier than usual due to the closure of Acton Grange junction and consequential diversions but the number of extra staff drafted in to undertake 'crowd control' was absolutely ridiculous! I do resent being treated like cattle and herded about a station by staff hired in by Network Rail, it just makes me more awkward and forces me to put my foot over the line even more such as when taking this photograph of 142003 leaving Piccadilly with the 09.18 from Manchester Airport to Wigan North Western.
