The driver departure mirror at the north end of Hadley Wood station reveals a class 313 leaving with the 13.39 Welwyn Garden City to Moorgate service. Hadley Wood was a very quiet station some ten miles north of King's Cross. Its four platforms seemed a little excessive given the train calling pattern and passenger numbers but, in common with several others in the vicinity, the up and down fast platforms were closed off and out of use unless in an emergency.
