According to Six Bells Junction, the railtour headed to Crewe via Bristol, the Severn Tunnel, Hereford and Shrewsbury. The return was different with the locomotive changing ends at Hereford with the tour then returning via Malvern, and Gloucester to Bristol and thence westwards again. It is seen preparing to leave Crewe with the many enthusiasts waiting for their various trains home. Today, this situation would cause absolute apoplexy with the H&S brigade!
