Harlington signal box (Mid, 1913) With last vestiges of the evening light behind the box to the northwest, Harlington signal box is seen. It was located on the down fast platform at the station and is a later Midland Type 2H signal box constructed in 1913. This box is still in use today at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre at Quainton Road where it is now on a brick base and controls all of their locomotive movements. Notice the extension and raising of the platform underway associated with the electrification of the line that was still some three years away from completion at this time.
