Another local class 31 heads along the Avon Valley with a Portsmouth Harbour working that would have originated at either Bristol Temple Meads or Cardiff Central. The train is hauled by 31412 and is approaching Limpley Stoke taken on a section of line that was three-track wide until the third was removed when the Camerton branch was closed in the 1950s. This branch and section of line were used for the filming of the Titfield Thunderbolt film of 1953. Down below and to the left of the fence is the B3108 road so I am not at all sure as to how I got to this position to take the picture, and to be honest, I don't want to remember!
