As a local old favourite, 31421 was seen frequently in the West Country on a variety of workings. Here, it is seen passing through the Avon Valley at Limpley Stoke between Bradford-on-Avon and Bath. I do not know the working but it will have been a Portsmouth Harbour to Bristol Temple Meads and/or Cardiff Central service. 31421 was withdrawn in 1997 lingering for ten years at EMR in Kingsbury being cut-up in 2007. Notice the vintage bullhead track still in use and the gold Ford Granda coupé parked in the car park.
