Poster, Grantham station
Grantham station was adorned with a number of large posters, such as this one, heralding the launch of the Azumas. As can be seen on this poster, the launch into public service was the day after our visit even though there was a press launch return service from King's Cross to Leeds on the day of our visit. It's interesting to note that the trains have adopted the Virgin East Coast livery as originally produced by the redundant private TOC. This despite that fact that the actual launch is by the state-owned and managed LNER.
