 Having dashed back round from the depot gave me a second chance to capture 55006 'The Fife and Forfar Yeomanry' this time making a typically smokey departure from York station with the 16.13 to King's Cross. Looking at the exhaust, it could well have been working on one engine, a common occurrence. 55006's final working was The Night Scotsman on 04.02.81. On arrival at Edinburgh, it ran to Haymarket where a classified repair was required but not authorised. It was moved to Doncaster and cut up during the summer of 1981.
