Having arrived at York station 47263 awaits to leave the station for the carriage sidings where the train will be serviced for its return working later in the afternoon. I had travelled up on this train from Bath that had been chartered by the Percy Boys' Club. This club was a community organisation for the people and families of Bath. It is still in existence today but, quite rightly, has been simply renamed the Percy Community Club reflecting the widening of its offer to the city, see their web site at..... https://www.percycentre.org.uk After becoming 47587 and then 47736, 47263 was withdrawn in 2007 having been stored and out of use since 2004.
