Passing Swindon Works at speed sees two class 52 Westerns still awaiting final cutting. It looks as though they have been pretty much stripped of all their internal components with just their instantly recognisable hulks remaining. The leading 52 is D1028 'Western Hussar' identified by the daubing of 'THE END' on its flank. I have not been able to identify the other Western, if anybody can help, I would appreciate it. As for, what looks to be, a timber framed carriage of some type to the left, again, if anybody has any information I would love to hear from you.
