Not so much a commemorative plaque as a sticker attached

to the side of HST 43302 at King's Cross station. With clever use of computer graphics and digital printing, the vinyl sticker tells an interesting bit of history about the power car as it waits to leave with the 1S23 15.30 to Edinburgh. The HSTs are very much in the final few months of operation on this route with the imminent introduction into service of the Azumas. It is episodes such as this one recorded here that make us realise how important the HSTs have been in the development of the railways over the last four decades.
