47506, 40082 & 40104, Crewe Works A duo of Class 40s and a Class 47 at Crewe Works. According to contemporary records, 40082 to the left had arrived the previous week for repairs to a fractured bogie, an all too common occurrence for members of the class. Meanwhile, 40104 was on the works for main generator repairs. Lastly, 47506 was at the works for conversion to a Scottish Region push-pull locomotive. It emerged as 47707 in May.
