 The eastern approach to Shrewsbury is dominated by Severn Bridge Junction signal box. The huge LNWR box is still in use today (2019) and I have visited it on a number of occasions. 40113 and 40144 are leading The Crewe Campaigner Relief railtour that was running as 1Z68 from Paddington to Crewe. The equally impressive spire of St. Mary the Virgin occupies the skyline.
