Never ever did I think that when I visited a dirty and very run-down St. Pancras in the 1970s and 1980s that it would be re-born and morph into what it has become today! The magnificent and restored William Henry Barlow designed train shed dominates this view looking up from the undercroft that now contains a huge range of retail outlets. On the platform level in this image the famous champaign bar can be seen, a favourite haunt for the more affluent traveller prior to their departure be it either on East Midlands, Southeastern or Eurostar services.
