After a recent restoration, M51192 looks superb in its British Railways green livery with 'speed' whiskers. Attached to the rear is M56352 that remains in its rather faded un-restored livery. The class 101 is widely regarded as one of the most successful and enduring designs of of first generation DMUs. Built by Metro-Cammell in Birmingham between 1956 and 1959 they operated all over the country. When the last examples were withdrawn they were forty seven years old. The unit is seen passing Kelling Heath's footpath crossing with the 09.45 Sheringham to Holt service.
