Halifax signal box (L&Y, 1884) (Closed) I have a couple of pictures of Halifax signal box in happier times when it was still open. Since October 2018, it has been closed but is still very much intact on Halifax's redundant platform one. It was constructed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire railway in 1884 and is a listed structure as it is within the curtilage of the station. An FOI request in January 2018 reveals the Network Rail has no plans to demolish it with them seeking to look actively for a future and appropriate use or to remove it for alternative use elsewhere.
