 Stored in Lamport sidings at the NLR are two Dogfish 24 ton Ballast Hoppers. In the foreground is DB993270 that was built in 1959 by Charles Roberts & Co. of Horbury Junction, Wakefield (also known as Chas Roberts & Co.) Next to it is another Dogfish 24 ton Ballast Hopper Wagon DB993399, built in 1959 by Metro-Cammell, Saltley, near Birmingham. The latter has been restored and is operational on the line seeing use when PW department ballast the track and has seen recent work on the NLR's extension south to Boughton crossing.
