Between 1956 and 1960, British Railways constructed nearly a thousand general utility vehicles (GUVs). There are still a few still in service on the mainline but, surprisingly, a very small number have made it into preservation. The NLR has two in its portfolio, this one is a former Wester Region piece of stock as W94062. It is presently used as storage but has been targeted by the graffiti vandals (I refuse to call them artists) and has been broken into.
