73966 stabled, Craigentinny MPD My first view of one of Caledonian Sleeper's new and rebuilt class 73 locomotives. These veteran machines were completely rebuilt by Brush at Loughborough with all their previous DC electrical equipment removed and a new Cummins diesel engine installed. Caledonian Sleeper have invested in these locomotives so they can replace the class 37s and the class 67s that they uses to haul their services away from the wires to Fort William, Inverness and Aberdeen.
