Throughout the summer, ScotRail have been operating regular steam excursion

up and down the newly re-opened Border's Railway. These have proved to be incredibly successful both with locals and tourists alike. Taken from the top of Jacob's Ladder, the 1Z22 09.46 to Tweedbank is seen easing out of Edinburgh Waverley with class 7P 4-6-0 46100 'Royal Scot' leading. Out of sight on the rear is a class 67 that will haul the train back from Tweedbank later in the morning.
