Carlisle PSB (BR, 1973) Carlisle PSB was constructed and opened by BR in 1973 when it took over the responsibility from an incredible forty four mechanical and other boxes. It's future is now limited as Network Rail move ever closer to their utopian plan of having a handful of regional Signalling Centres.
