Abergavenny signal box (GWR, 1934) Abergavenny signal box is a Type 28b 1934 structure. Whilst it has had work done, including new windows, it has been kept looking pretty good. The only things really spoiling it is the lack of a chimney stack. Most have been removed from boxes due to the conversion away from a coal stove to keep it warm.
