A scene dominated by two GWR Collett designs, a 2-6-2 4575 and a 2-8-0 5205 series. In the foreground is 5553 that was the very last locomotive to leave Dai Woodham's infamous scrapyard in Barry. It was once owned by Pete Waterman who financed its first restoration. It languished at The Railway Age in Crewe after he sold his interests in Waterman Railways and moved here to Peak Rail last year needing another restoration. 5224 is still owned by Waterman and is under overhaul too. It was extracted from Barry in 1978 and, after its initial restoration, did the rounds running on a number of heritage lines.
