Frontage, Buxton station
The frontage of Buxton station with the inevitable car park in the foreground. This is the one remaining station of the two that were virtually identical design built side by side at this location. This one was operated by the LNWR for services to the Manchester area. The other one was operated by the Midland for services south and over the more challenging routes through the Peak District that closed in 1967.
