Basford Hall Junction signal box (LNWR, 1897) This is one of a handful of surviving signal boxes still in use on the WCML but their numbers are being reduced constantly and I suspect that this one will be rendered redundant soon. Not a great picture of Basford Hall Junction signal box as this was the closest that I could get to it. It controls the access to the huge Basford Hall Yard complex and was built by the LNWR in 1897.
