57312 'Solway Princess' brings up the rear of the 14.09

Euston to Burton-ot-Wetmore ECS move. The stock is being returned to its base at Nemesis Rail no doubt for some heavy cleaning following its use for the 3-Peaks charity event. The class 57 is painted in its smart Northern belle livery but is still owned and operated by DRS. It was new in July 1963 released into traffic as D1811. Under TOPS it became 47330, then 47390 finally reverting back to 47330 again. In 2003 it was selected to become one of Virgin's Thunderbirds and was rebuilt into 57312 ' Kyrano'. It was acquired by DRS when Virgin disposed of the standby locomotives in 2012.
