Tens of thousands of pounds worth of Range Rovers for export pass through Bescot Stadium station behind EWS 66079 'James Nightall G.C.' leading the 11.33 Halewood to Southampton Docks. James Nightall was the fireman on the ammunition train that he saved, along with the driver Ben Gimbert, from explosion, bar one truck, just outside Soham in Cambridgeshire in 1944. Whilst Nightall died, his driver Ben Gimbert survived with terrible injuries.
