For some unknown reason, the final return leg of the Pennine Explorer railtour from Birmingham New Street to Cardiff Central was handled by a single 37204 as opposed to the double headed affair on the way out. Here, 37204 leaves Cheltenham station taken using the flash attached to the base plate hot shoe on the Rollie B35 camera. Our party alighted at Cheltenham in order to get a connection home in time for for the last train from Bristol to Bradford-on-Avon. Our haulage from Cheltenham was 47262 followed by a class 118 DMU onwards from Bristol.
