76016 & 76009, return leg of the Pennine Explorer, Rotherwood Exchange sidings-Cardiff Central, Manchester Piccadilly station Having arrived back in Manchester Piccadilly's platform four at just gone 16.30 (according to the station clock) it was dark enough for me to attach the flash to my borrowed Rollie B35 camera. The set up for the flash was a bit odd on the Rollie as the hot shoe was on the base plate of the camera. So, the flash unit hung down rather incongruously whilst taking the picture! 76016 and 76009 are seen on the blocks waiting to be detached from the return Pennine Explorer railtour whilst 40024 was being attached at the other end.
