Here, the 76s were removed from the cross-Pennine freights and diesels attached for onward movement. Rotherwood sidings was situated between Orgreave Lane (of colliery fame) and Retford Road in the district of eastern Sheffield called Woodhouse. The yard is unrecognisable today with most of it covered by the inevitable modern housing estate.
