As my mother and her partner now live in Frome, I have visited this spot several times in recent years and, apart from some tree growth to the right, the view is very similar today. However, the chances of seeing a class 50 hauling a set of Mk. II stock and a BG van past the spot are pretty rare! UPDATE.....UPDATE...... Since writing the text above the situation has changed! This view is now not possible due to the installation of a huge 'phone mast right in the foreground. However, there are some gaps in the trees to the right that allow a slightly wider angled view.
