A typically busy scene at York station. A rake of Mk. I stock sits on the present-day platform three. A class 45 waits on one of the centre roads that have now been removed. Most of the action centres around an unidentified Deltic heading north on the presently numbered platform five. There looks to be quite an animated conversation taking place between the driver of the Deltic and a chap (along with some others) wearing some period flared jeans! Who would have thought that forty-four years later I would be standing on the same spot photographing a Deltic again, see...
