A quiet Sunday morning found Simon and I inside the MPD at March. There were no staff about so we simply wandered around taking down many numbers most of which were cops! Here in the shed 37050 sits next to 31326. The 37 was new from the Vulcan factory in August 1962 as D6750. After becoming 37050 under TOPS in 1974 it morphed into 37717 in 1985. It was withdrawn in 2004 but not scrapped until 2009. 31326 was new from Brush in 1962 as D5861 becoming 31326 in 1973. It lived on in this guise until withdrawal in 1991 giving 28 years of service.
