Ex. BR (W) enamel sign, from Kintbury station This BR(W) large flanged enamel sign is seen attached to the end of my shed in 2018. It was originally located on Kintbury station just across the crossing from the box and had recently been removed prior to our visit in April 1978. When we visited the box on its last afternoon of operation the sign was laying under the steps of the signal box and it was offered to me by the friendly signallman; I did not need asking again! It only just fitted in the back of the Mini for the journey home, sitting behind the front seats meaning that us two sitting in the back had a slightly uncomfortable journey home with it in front of our knees!
