I had been watching this mysterious working on my 'phone using Open Train Times not knowing what it was as there had been no internet postings. As it approached, out of view, I heard the familiar sound of an English Electric 12CSVT engine opening up. Within seconds, I realised that there was two locomotives so had to quickly adjust the focal length of the lens to accommodate them! I had opted for a fast shutter speed (1/2500 sec) rather than a pan shot. The image shows 37407 and 37605 running as the 06.50 Gresty Bridge to Wembley that was unexplainably terminated at Willesden Brent Sidings passing Milton Malsor just south of Northampton.
