43089 and 43083 power the 14.34 St. Pancras to Nottingham up Sharnbrook Bank past the tiny village of Souldrop just north of Sharnbrook Junction. The picture is taken from a temporary bridge constructed by Network Rail in connection with another set of bridge works on Back Lane. During the initial works associated with the electrification, the bridge was raised and a lot of work done including the installation of some enormous parapets. Now, the rest of the bridge is being demolished and re-built due to structural defects. I'm sure that the defects were present a couple of year ago, quite why it wasn't all done then I'm not so sure?
