The rail access to Micheldever oil depot where it intersects

with the station access path from the east. The large oil depot was built in 1939 as part the war effort. It remained in use until the early 1990s but has since seen little use. It is evident that recent clearance has taken place and that a planning application was put in to develop the site but this was refused.
