Torre signal box (disused) (GW, 1921) Torre signal box looks a sad sight all boarded up on the up platform at the station. It has been used for various things since it closed in November 1984 but, as can be seen from the notice, it is due to go to auction later in the year. The box is a grade II listed structure built by the Great Western in 1921. I presume that its height was to facilitate sighting but, it certainly gives options to a purchaser!
