Par signal box (GW, c1879) Par signal box sits at the end of the platform at the station. It was doubled in length in 1893 and a new frame installed. It controls an extensive are of the Great Western mainline as far as Truro to the west and Lostwithial to the east. It also controls access to the Newuqay branch that can bee seen curving off to the right in this picture. It is a listed building so it should live on after re-signalling renders it redundant.
