St. Austell signal box (Closed) (GW, 1906) There are plans afoot to renovate and put the old St. Austell signal box and to put it to new use. Since it closed in 1980 it has seen little use and is in need of some love, care and attention. A local historical society has plans to turn it into a museum with negotiations currently ongoing with Network Rail.
