Penzance signal box (GW, 1938) Penzance signal box stands just east of the station facing the glorious Mounts Bay; what a place to be a signalman! This is the second box at Penzance, this one, a 1938 GWR Type 12B replaced an earlier structure. In recent years it has undergone a full refurbishment in some part to make it a little more weather-proof.
