A lovely open scene that makes the taking of pictures

of trains so easy! However, by 2019 this scene will change for ever as the electrification posts, stanchions and wires blight it for ever. So, whilst it can still be enjoyed here is 222003 'Tornado' races south forming the 09.29 Sheffield to St. Pancras. Notice the single slow line at a slightly lower level. There is talk that this could be re-doubled from Sharnbrook Junction through the tunnel, to Wellingborough and Harrowden Junction retuning it to as it was up until it was singled in 1987.
